Coronation Street's Colson Smith shares 'big announcement' after support for 'best mate' he 'misses'

Coronation Street star Colson Smith has shared a 'big announcement' with his fans and followers just weeks after leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house where he made it all the way to the final.
The actor finished in third place in the reboot of the ITV reality show, behind runner-up Nikita Kuzmin and eventual winner David Potts. The trio made it to the finale of the programme alongside broadcaster and author Fern Britton and former X Factor judge Louis Walsh.
Colson didn't have much time between leaving the famous house and heading back to Weatherfield as he returned to work on Corrie, where he plays PC Craig Tinker, days after.

But after being eased back into life on the cobbles, Colson returned to his second job as a podcast host. Fans of the 25-year-old will know he co-hosts the On The Sofa podcast, previously known as Sofa Cinema Club, alongside Corrie co-stars Jack P Shepherd and Ben Price.
On Tuesday (April 2), Colson posted a snap of himself back in their studio alongside a minute soft toy emblazoned with his own face. Alongside it he wrote: "I’m backkkkkkkkk!!! New episode coming Thursday! Talking all things life in BB house and my return to real world."
But he also teased an announcement with all being revealed on Wednesday (April 3). In a video posted to the On The Sofa Instagram page, Colson said: "It is time for our big announcement. It's huge! Jack teased it last week and everyone's thinking 'what could it be?' and it is that the three of us are going back on stage."
