Coronation Street Ellie Leach fans 'tearing up' as actress opens up on Strictly Come Dancing media scrutiny

Ellie Leach fans have been left in tears and feeling 'so proud' of the star after she appeared on ITVBe reality show Drama Queens. The new series follows the lives of nine actresses from three of the country's biggest soaps: Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.
Its debut episode, which aired on Wednesday night (April 10) caught up with the former Faye Windass star. Fans got to see Ellie's special bond with her mother, while the actress also spoke out about being under intense pressure from the press while taking part in Strictly Come Dancing last year.
Ellie, from Manchester, joined the hit ITV soap when she was just 10 years old. She left the cobbles after 12 years in July 2023, having endured some pretty major storylines - including a teen pregnancy, early menopause and her adoption.

Faye's final episode saw her leave Weatherfield in a packed car alongside ex-boyfriend Jackson and their daughter Miley after she broke the heart of her fiancé Craig Tinker. As she wasn't killed off, plenty of fans still have hope that she could one day return.
But since leaving Corrie, Ellie's been very busy. In December, she and professional dancer Vito Coppola two-stepped their way to the Dancing On Ice final and lifted the Glitterball trophy. At the age of just 23 years old, Ellie became the youngest ever Strictly winner.
Drama Queens viewers saw Ellie catch up with her mum Karen as she embarked on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour. It also saw her speak out about intense media speculation while on the hit BBC One show.
