Concerns are growing for a missing Scots diabetic who vanished in Arbroath without his insulin.
Alan Saunders, 40, was last seen in the Hill Street area of the Angus town at around 2pm on Thursday August 11.
The Arbroath man is believed to have access to a green Peugeot car, registration number P244 JDR. Scots have been asked to keep an eye out for the vehicle and to report any sightings of it to the police.
Alan himself is described as being 5ft 6ins tall, of average build, with short grey hair and tattoos on both forearms. When he was last seen he was wearing a cream-coloured t-shirt and shorts.
Speaking to the Record, Alan's sister Kelly Hunter said the family was worried for Alan's health as he is diabetic and has left his insulin at home. She said: "We haven't heard from Alan since 10pm on Wednesday, his phone's been switched off since then.
"We've got no idea where he's gone - we hope he's just in a house somewhere. He hasn't been back home for his insulin or his phone charger.
"We're hoping it's just that his phone has died and he doesn't know any numbers. He knows plenty of people in Arbroath so we're just hoping he appears at some point."
Sergeant Kirsty Fotheringham of Tayside Division said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Alan’s welfare and are keen to trace him as soon as possible.
"It is believed that he may have access to a green Peugeot vehicle, registration P244JDR. If you have any information about his whereabouts, or for any sightings of his vehicle, please contact Police Scotland as soon as possible on 101 quoting incident 4195 of 11 August.”
