A Scots mum whose daughter died of a “silent killer” is warning people of the symptoms of sepsis that claims the lives of five people an hour in the UK.

A search has been launched to trace a missing man last seen two days ago.
Liam Scott was reported missing from the Lochgilphead area of Argyll by his worried family.
But the last sighting of the 23-year-old was over 60 miles away in Dunoon on Tuesday, August 16. Cops say he has links to the Alexandria area in West Dunbartonshire.
Liam is described as white, around 6ft all, of a slim build and with short, dark hair. He was last seen wearing jeans, a blue T-shirt and grey Adidas trainers.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Extensive enquires are ongoing in and around the Argyll area.
"Liam also has links with the Alexandria area. Liam has been reported missing by his family who are concerned for his welfare."
Anybody with information on Liam's whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
