Body found in Scots town amid search for missing man Kevin Coll

A body has been found in a Lanarkshire town amid the search for a missing 56-year-old man who vanished nearly two weeks ago.
Kevin Coll was reported missing from the Kirkfield Road area of Lanark around 8pm on Friday, August 5. Following his disappearance, officers appealed for information after his loved ones became increasingly worried for his wellbeing.
Now police have confirmed that the body of a man was found in the Woodhall Road area of Braidwood, Carluke, around 1pm today. Kevin's family have been informed of the development.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A spokesperson for Lanarkshire Police Division said: "Around 1pm on Thursday, 18, August, 2022, the body of a man was found in the Woodhall Road area of Braidwood, Carluke.
"The family of missing man Kevin Coll (56) have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
