A man who has been missing for two days may have travelled to a Scots tourist attraction, with police now launching a search.
Brian Loy disappeared from Glenshamrock Drive in the village of Auchinleck, East Ayrshire around 7.40pm on Wednesday, August 10.
Officers believe the 50-year-old may have made his way to Dumfries House, a popular country house and visitor spot located two miles from Cumnock.
Brian has failed to make contact with loved ones sine he vanished, however, and cops are now appealing for the public's help as part of their ongoing efforts to trace him as worries mount for his welfare.
Brian is described as being around five foot seven inches tall. Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is being urged to come forward. Inspector Iain Farmer of Kilmarnock Police Station said : “We believe that Brian may have travelled to Dumfries House which is two miles from Cumnock.
“We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Brian and this is a worrying time for his family and friends. “If anyone knows the whereabouts of Brian, please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2948 of 11 August.”
