Cinemark CEO Mark Zoradi's Pay Rose to $6.3 Million in 2019

Imax CEO Richard Gelfond's compensation for the latest fiscal year came to $7.1 million, up from $6.28 million in fiscal 2018, according to a regulatory filing Wednesday. Gelfond received a base salary of $1.2 million last year — the same as in 2018 — and saw his bonus fall to $1.1 million, against a bonus of $1.7 million in fiscal 2018.

Discovery Inc. president and CEO David Zaslav's 2019 pay package dropped to $45.8 million.

Rose McGowan addressed her negative tweets directed at fellow actress and activist Alyssa Milano as well as her thoughts on the conviction and sentencing of her alleged rapist, Harvey Weinstein. McGowan previously tweeted a scathing rebuke of her “Charmed” co-star following comments she made about Joe Biden’s accuser during an interview with Andy Cohen.

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick's total compensation fell slightly in 2019, from$30.8 million in 2018 to $30.1 million a year later. Kotick has been CEO of the company since 2008, after spearheading the merger of the two video game studios.

NBCUniversal's Steve Burke got compensation worth $42.6 million in 2019, his final year as CEO, compared with nearly $40.0 million in 2018 and $46.5 million in 2017, according to a regulatory filing from pay TV, media and technology giant Comcast. That marked a gain of 6.5 percent.

Jim Meyer, CEO of satellite radio company SiriusXM Holdings, saw his total compensation for 2019 rise 6.5 percent to $18.78 million, up compared with $17.63 million in 2018, according to the company's proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday. He had made $9.66 million in 2017.

Cinemark CEO Mark Zoradi on Wednesday predicted it will take up to four months for shuttered cinema screens to fully reopen as the COVID-19 crisis recedes, likely starting July 1. "A return to normalcy may span multiple months driven by staggered theater openings due to government limits, reduced operating hours, lingering social distancing and a ramp-up of consumer comfort with public gatherings," Zoradi said on a morning call to update Wall Street analysts.
