Imax CEO Richard Gelfond's compensation for the latest fiscal year came to $7.1 million, up from $6.28 million in fiscal 2018, according to a regulatory filing Wednesday. Gelfond received a base salary of $1.2 million last year — the same as in 2018 — and saw his bonus fall to $1.1 million, against a bonus of $1.7 million in fiscal 2018.

AMC Networks president and CEO Josh Sapan received compensation worth $20.2 million in 2019, down 2 percent compared with $20.6 million in 2018 and $29.6 million in 2017. The company behind The Walking Dead home AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel and WE tv disclosed Sapan's pay in a regulatory filing.

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick's total compensation fell slightly in 2019, from$30.8 million in 2018 to $30.1 million a year later. Kotick has been CEO of the company since 2008, after spearheading the merger of the two video game studios.

NBCUniversal's Steve Burke got compensation worth $42.6 million in 2019, his final year as CEO, compared with nearly $40.0 million in 2018 and $46.5 million in 2017, according to a regulatory filing from pay TV, media and technology giant Comcast. That marked a gain of 6.5 percent.

Discovery CEO David Zaslav is gathering some friends and celebrities this weekend to raise more than $1 million in a virtual charity poker tournament for the Mount Sinai COVID-19 Response Fund. Zaslav is a Mount Sinai board member, and 100 percent of the proceeds of the event will support front-line health care workers.
