A cat-killer obsessed with death and who murdered a man as part of a warped sexual fantasy inspired by a Netflix documentary has been jailed.
Jorge Martin Carreno was singled out by killer Scarlet Blake as he walked home from a night out in Oxford in July 2021. Blake, 26, led Mr Carreno to a secluded river bank where she attacked him with a vodka bottle and strangled him.
She then pushed the 30-year-old victim into the River Cherwell, where he drowned. Blake, of Crotch Crescent, Oxford, has now been jailed for life and must serve a minimum of 24 years after she was convicted of murder last week following a three-week trial.

Prosecutors said Blake, 26, chose to kill the victim because she had a "fixation with violence and with knowing what it would be like to kill someone".
Oxford Crown Court also heard that Blake had an "extreme interest in death and in harm", and got sexual gratification from violence and killings. Four months before the murder Blake live-streamed the sadistic and violent killing of a cat before putting its body in a blender. In the horrific video the New Order song True Faith plays in the background.
The court heard this was in homage to the popular Netflix true-crime documentary Don't F*** With Cats in which a man kills kittens before filming the murder of a human.
On the night of his murder, Mr Carreno's had been out with work colleagues and was trying to get home when he came across Blake who was sitting in the street. CCTV had earlier captured her looking for a victim, wearing a heavy military-style hooded jacket, face mask and carrying a rucksack which prosecutors suggest contained a 'murder kit'
