Boy, 15, charged with attempted murder after 14-year-old stabbed in Levenshulme

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder after a 14-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed in Levenshulme on Monday (February 26).
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, attended the scene on Stovell Avenue at around 8pm to reports of a boy being injured in a stabbing.
A cordon was put in place overnight and throughout Tuesday amid police investigations. Two people were arrested, a teenage boy and a 41-year-old woman, and both were questioned by detectives in connection with the alleged attack.

Greater Manchester Police have now confirmed a 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, has been charged with attempted murder.
He will appear at Manchester Youth Magistrates' Court on Thursday (February 29). The 41-year-old woman who was arrested has since been released on bail.
The force added that the victim remains in a serious condition in hospital.
