An investigation has been launched after a car flipped and ended on its roof after a collision with a parked vehicle in an Aberdeenshire town.
Officers from Police Scotland attempted to stop the vehicle on North Street in Peterhead at around 4.15pm this afternoon, June 25, before it was eventually involved in a collision with an unoccupied car on West Road in the town.
Following the collision the driver made off on foot. A 17-year-old was arrested by cops a short time after the incident.

Police Scotland has issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A vehicle failed to stop for officers on North Street in Peterhead around 4.15pm on Tuesday, 25 June. This vehicle was subsequently involved in a collision with unoccupied parked vehicles on West Road in the town a short time later.
“The driver made off on foot but a 17-year-old male was traced a short time later.
“He has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences. Enquiries are ongoing and officers are looking for any witnesses to come forward, quoting incident number 2540 of 25 June.”
