Fire crews are battling a blaze at a waste facility in Lanarkshire this evening.

A van has smashed into a motorway barrier and a car left "facing every direction" after a horror multi-vehicle crash.
Emergency services rushed to J26 at Hillington eastbound at around 7.30pm on Wednesday after the incident which is understood to have involved three vehicles.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are also said to be at the scene along with police and ambulance crews.
Traffic Scotland confirmed lanes one and two are closed. It is not yet known whether anyone has been injured.
Pictures shared with Glasgow Live show a van "crushed" after having ploughed into a barrier.
One eyewitness told the Record: "I could cry, honestly it was a horror, van in the middle lane and a car which no longer resembles a car, facing every direction."
Traffic Scotland wrote on X.com: "Lane 1 and 2 CLOSED due to a multi-vehicle collision. Police and emergency services at the scene."
The Record has contacted Police Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service and Fire and Rescue for comment.
