The most expensive Wetherspoons pint in Scotland can be found in Edinburgh, a new survey has revealed.
Strangely, though, the capital is also home to one of the cheapest pints poured by the chain. Research conducted by Stocklytics examined the average cost for a Carling, Budweiser, Guinness, Heineken, Peroni and Stella at every branch.
As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, on average the cost of the least expensive pint is about £3.19, with Edinburgh bucking this trend at one of its most popular premises. The city is home to the priciest pint in the UK, with an average alcoholic beverage in the Walter Scott pub in Edinburgh Airport setting you back a huge £6.80.
When examined by region, though, Lothian had the cheapest pint on average at £3.42, while Clackmannanshire came second on £3.65. There is one Spoons in a leafy Edinburgh suburb once labelled one of the "coolest" in the world which offers a cut-price alternative, and is also a great place to visit as well.
The Foot of The Walk premises on Constitution Street is the lowest-priced in the city, and a pint of Carling can be purchased for just £2.58. Leith is one of the biggest up and coming areas in the city, and has undergone significant regeneration in recent years and is now a busy port which is visited regularly by cruise liners. It also has a number of tourist attractions, including the Ocean Terminal shopping centre and the Royal Yacht Britannia.
