A much-loved grandad who was 'pottering around in his garden' moments before leaving home, catching a bus and suddenly vanishing has now been found - supping a pint in a Manchester Wetherspoons pub.
Ronald Webster, known as 'Ronnie', 81, left his Oldham home on Walkers Road before he was seen catching a bus to Huddersfield last Thursday afternoon (September 14). His granddaughter Paige Tattersall previously told the Manchester Evening News that the disappearance of Ronald, who was missing for more than week without his medication, phone, and with just the clothes on his back, left members of the family 'broken'.
The unexplained disappearance launched a national search, but police and Ronald's family have now confirmed that he was found today (September 22) safe and well - in a Piccadilly Gardens pub with a pint. "He's absolutely fine he was just scared of going back to my gran I think! He knows he's in trouble!!" joked his worried granddaughter.
