After two games against Longridge and Chorley, summer signing Iredale beleives it will be an increase in quality of opposition and feels it will only benefit Wanderers if they can put into practice what they have been working on in training.
He said: “I think when you are playing against better opposition you get a chance to play better football yourself, and Stockport will be that step up.
“I just look forward to the pre-season games and the work that we’re getting in because the more games we get together, the better we’re going to get.
“It’ll be a good game, a challenge, and it is something that is only going to benefit us as well if we put into practice the principles we have been working on."
Iredale and fellow summer signing, Liverpool loanee Conor Bradley, have come into a group which has been together for a while and are the fresh faces in the squad. But he has found the transition to his new club an easy one following his move from Cambridge United.
