As The Traitors kicked off a thrilling third week on Wednesday evening, the Faithfuls were dealt a brutal blow following the loss of Diane after she was secretly given a poisoned chalice. However in a further blow, tensions began spiralling following the murder, as Traitor Paul turned on Miles and threw his fellow Traitor under the bus to save his own skin.
Deliberately naming Miles outright, Paul claimed that Diane had named Miles as her killer as he attempted to have him banished in order to secure his own future. During the banishment round-table, Miles plead his case as he tried to defend himself, while Paul slickly continued to deflect as he pointed the finger at everyone else, other than himself.
With no loyalty lost between the pair, there was clearly unresolved tension in the air as the other contestants watched on uncomfortably, before beginning to point their fingers at Paul for being repeatedly “on edge”. As the names were finally revealed for who would be banished, Miles and Paul were both placed in the frame as potential traitors, before Miles was successfully banished from the competition.
Following the reveal, the remaining contestants breathed a sigh of relief at having actually rumbled one of the Traitors, leaving only Paul and Harry left to carry on the game and try to kill another Faithful without being caught. As soon as Miles’ banishment was revealed, fans were quick to share their thoughts on social media as they prayed Paul would soon be caught for his backstabbing behaviour.
