BBC broadcaster Clive Myrie has revealed how he was left 'shaken' after receiving horrific gun death threats.

The BBC has confirmed which presenters will be fronting their TV coverage on the night of the general election. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak confirmed in a televised statement outside Number 10 that the election would take place on Thursday, July 4.
The announcement came after Cabinet ministers were summoned for an unusually timed Cabinet meeting, with defence secretary Grant Shapps and foreign secretary Lord Cameron cutting short foreign trips to attend. Mr Sunak had previously said the general election would take place in the 'second half' of 2024.
Now, Mastermind host Clive Myrie and Sunday morning political show presenter Laura Kuenssberg have been confirmed to front the BBC's coverage. The pair will be joined by BBC political editor Chris Mason and Reeta Chakrabarti on July 4.

At the last election in 2019, the corporation's coverage was anchored by Huw Edwards, but he resigned from the BBC earlier this year following allegations that he paid a young person for sexually explicit photos. The election night was previously only presented by one anchor with Edwards taking over from veteran host David Dimbleby in 2019.
BBC News chief executive, Deborah Turness, said: "In this election, we have one thing on our minds above all else the voters. Throughout the campaign we'll be giving them the facts and information they need to make up their own minds.
