Sally Nugent joked that her co-star Carol Kirkwood 'deserved an award' as she tackled 'carnage' to deliver her latest weather reports on BBC Breakfast. While Sally and her co-host Jon Kay were live from the Salford-based studio on Wednesday (July 26), Carol was out on a special visit.
The latest episode of the BBC One news programme saw Carol reunited with Flash, who viewers may remember for being the puppy in training that pulled her over live on air at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2021. The clip went viral and became one of BBC News' most-watched videos of that year.
And after being pulled over by another dog while broadcasting live from Wimbledon earlier this month, Carol visited the Guide Dogs National Centre on Wednesday where she was reunited with Flash and was able to meet a very special pup.

Labrador Flash, who was just eight months old when he first came into contact with Carol, has been bred so she can produce life-changing guide dogs of the future. And one of Flash's nine new puppies has been named in Carol’s honour.
During her broadcast with puppy Carol and her eight siblings, Carol was seen sitting on the floor with the litter as she spoke to Jon and Sally back in the studio. Then, while trying to do the forecast, one of the pups decided to try to chew on her microphone while another pulled at her hair from behind.
Realising what was happening, Carol quipped: "Oops, get off my mic you little monkey.” At the end of the forecast, Jon and Sally could be heard laughing as they praised Carol for not being too distracted by what was happening as she let viewers know what they can expect from the weather.
