The bakery at the centre of a social media row with former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has thanked supporters for their ‘solidarity’ over the matter.
Three Little Birds Bakery in Yorkshire made headlines after owner Rebecca Severs, from Keighley, shared a screenshot of an email from PR company NVRLND asking the small business to make 100 cupcakes for an unidentified 'well-known' celebrity’s birthday event.
In the email, which also asked for an additional smaller birthday cake for the celebrity’s husband, the PR company asked for the products in exchange for 'social media exposure'. Other media reports later revealed the event revolved around Catherine.

NVRLND later said the email had been ‘completely misconstrued’ and the arrangement would have covered the bakery’s expenses and costs. Catherine, who played Eva Price in the ITV soap from 2011 to 2018, said she ‘had no idea those emails were being sent’.
At the time, Rebecca responded to the email to say that her mortgage and staff wages could not be paid with ‘Instagram likes’ so she would be ‘declining the generous offer’.
Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds earlier this week, Rebecca further explained her position on the matter. She said: “A lot of industries like mine are not valued enough for the skill and time that goes into our products.
“It’s not just the time it takes to make a cake, it’s the 20-odd years of experience and skill you’ve spent to get to that point.
“It’s a real challenge to price your own worth when it’s your own thing, it’s really personal. Customers pay for knowledge and skill.”
Since the email exchange went viral, the bakery has been inundated
