Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is set to be back on our screens soon, with its return date officially confirmed.
The iconic ITV show will be back on Saturday 24 February at 7pm, with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both 48, returning to host. They recently announced the news on their ITV show, Limitless Win, telling audiences: "We’ll see you very soon for the return of Saturday Night Takeaway!" The return of the show will mark its 20th - and final - series.
It's been running since 2002, and audiences have loved the show throughout the years - with many no doubt being left saddened at its ending. Naturally, Ant and Dec have some big things planned for the final series of Saturday Night Takeway, as they told The Sun: “We want it to be the biggest send-off, so we’re resting it for a while, so everyone we haven’t managed to get on in the last few years, we’re going to try to get on.
He added: “It’s a massive celebration of the last 20 years as it’s been 20 years.” “It’s going to be really sad at the end of it, but we’re going to have fun until the final episode.” Ant also suggested that there would be some big celebrity appearances on the new series, whilst Dec said that viewers can expect it to be "fun and frantic". In May 2023, Ant and Dec announced that they were taking a break from the popular prime time TV show, as they shared that they wanted to "catch our breath" whilst putting the multi-BAFTA-award-winning show on "pause".
