Strictly Come Dancing's Amanda Abbington has been in the spotlight recently, following a drama involving her dance partner Giovanni Pernice. Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley seems to be backing her as he made a loaded comment on the Wednesday, January 10 instalment of the breakfast show. Amanda and Giovanni have been the subject of much gossip after rumours of a feud surfaced, following Amanda's time on Strictly last year.
She abruptly quit the show in October 2023, citing 'personal reasons' and it's since been claimed that she says she's suffering from PTSD from her time on Strictly. Since leaving the show, Amanda has asked for footage from her rehearsals, hinting at some behind-the-scenes trouble. Chatting with entertainment reporter Richard Arnold on GMB, presenter Susanna Reid expressed her sadness that Amanda didn't seem to enjoy her time on the BBC show.
Richard said: "Just like Susanna suggests, she wouldn't ask for footage if there wasn't something on it that backs up her complaints, why ask for it?" Richard's comment seemed quite significant, and they quickly moved on from the topic. Entertainment reporter Richard then added: "We'll wait and see. Moving on." Some fans at home were still curious and wanted to know if the show's hosts would chat with Michelle Visage, a star from Ru Paul's Drag Race, about her time dancing with Gio.
Michelle danced with the Italian pro in 2019 on Strictly. But even though viewers were eager to hear what she thought, Richard and Susanna didn't bring it up. A viewer posted online: "I notice they didn't ask Michelle, funny that, probably because they knew she would only have positive things to say which goes against Richard who is clearly on Amanda's side based on his comments
