Alison Hammond had said 'see you' to her fans and followers as she revealed her temporary exit from This Morning. The presenter was back fronting the show on Friday (March 1) but not with her usual co-host Dermot O'Leary.
The TV and radio star was confirmed by Alison to have taken the day off and it was Paddy McGuinness who was drafted in to host the daytime show alongside her. Kicking off the show, the Bolton-born star quipped: "I'm giving us 20 minutes before we're taken off air. I've had to put another T-shirt on because my nipples have got a mind of their own..."
Holding her temporary partner's waist, and excited Alison said: "This was always going to happen. We'll be fine and you look so good. Seriously though, thank you for coming in."

It is then when he jokingly commented on while he was co-hosting, with the 50-year-old saying: "I'm loving it. I've got Dermot O'Leary and Ben Shephard tied up in my dressing room. That's how I like it! We've got a corker for you today."
And the pair very much seemed to enjoy their time hosting the popular programme together. Taking to Instagram after the show came to an end, Paddy, 50, shared a picture of the pair in action as well as a string of selfies and snaps they'd had taken with their guests.
"I had such a good time hosting @thismorning with @alisonhammond55 today!" Paddy began before adding: "I’ve so much time for that girl, salt of the earth. #thismorning." Responding to the post, Alison said: "Loved every second with you . See you soon babs."
