Manchester United have received another positive update regarding the future of transfer target Antony as Ajax are reportedly willing to 'compromise' over the player's transfer fee.
The Athletic report that the Dutch side are open to reducing the €100million (£84.5million) transfer fee they originally demanded as United look to agree a deal with Erik ten Hag's former club. The Dutch manager has been chasing Antony all summer and is intent on adding the 22-year-old to United's frontline.
It is now thought that the Eredivisie side are willing to negotiate after MEN Sport reported that United are preparing another bid for the Brazilian winger. The player himself is also thought to be desperate on a move after he was left out Ajax's matchday squad against Sparta Rotterdam.

Elsewhere, United's aim of adding another right-back to their squad this summer may have hit a stumbling block.
According to Sport, Barcelona defender Sergino Dest could be set to join Borussia Dortmund as part of a swap deal for Thomas Meunier. The 30-year-old Belgium defender is wanted by the La Liga side and they are reportedly willing to see Dest go the other way to complete the deal.
United have been linked with a move for Dest this summer as they look to improve their current right-back options. Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are currently the two senior players in that position, but with the importance that Ten Hag puts on his full-backs in his tactical set-up, he could still add another right-back to the squad before the window closes.
