After a few weeks of screen-testing, James Gunn and Peter Safran, the co-CEOs of DC Studios, have found their Supergirl: it’s Milly Alcock, known for her breakout turn in HBO’s “House Of The Dragon.” Alcock played the younger version of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the first half of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” spin-off (later, Emma D’Arcy took over the teenage and adult versions of the character as the series went through a time leap forward.

Guy Ritchie’s new Netflix series The Gentleman has landed, along with a release date. Superman: Legacy is set to launch a new era in DC‘s film universe, and it will do so with several stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of its cast.

Just the other day, we noted that James Gunn has launched a multi-year expansion of DC Studios: five films, five TV series, and that’s already about as long as a ten-year plan that’s reportedly not all he has to unveil in his “Gods And Monsters” phase of his DC Universe reboot. But so far, only one film has a release date, “Superman: Legacy,” due in summer 2025, which Gunn will write and direct himself.
