A young Scots woman who died just months after a shock cancer diagnosed has been described as "beautiful person" by her devastated loved ones.
Cheryl Robertson, from Glasgow, died surrounded by friends and family on September 5 after being diagnosed with four ALK-positive lung cancer in March.
The 28-year-old procurement buyer had no symptoms of the condition which affects non-smokers when she informed the cancer had spread to both lungs and her lymph nodes.
Heartbroken partner Robert Cameron has now paid tribute to Cheryl, describing her as his biggest supporter, Glasgow Live reports.
Robert said: "She was unknowingly more a support to me, such a beautiful person inside and out. She was so thoughtful and kind.
"When I met her, I was a bit lost and she made me see the good in myself. I miss her big beautiful smile, she called herself 'wee cheddar cheese'.
"It's the worst pain I have ever felt in my life, the end of the month would have been our first anniversary. I just want to make her proud."
Garry Robertson, Cheryl's older brother issued a heartfelt statement on social media. "Hardest post that I’ve ever to make", he said.
"I lost my special and amazing little sister who was the most amazing person I know, she was loved by absolutely everyone. Life without my little sister and best friend is never going to be the same, but her moto was always positive vibes.
"I am so grateful that I got to spend 28 years of my life with this incredible person by my side, but she’s needed for something better now and is no longer in any pain. Shine bright like the diamond you are Cheryl and I love you so much.
"Until we meet again. Goodnight beautiful."
