Are you a woman that wants to run your own company? Are you worried about some of the challenges you might face? Where can you find role models? How can you build a network?
The good news is that, with the right tools and advice, the journey to starting your own business can be incredibly positive and very exciting.
Ahead of International Women's Day on March 8, a fantastic panel of inspirational, knowledgeable and successful women joined a wide-ranging live Q&A video broadcast on the Daily Record Facebook page.
Mandy Bailey (Regional Ecosystem Manager for Royal Bank of Scotland), Pam Herries (founder of Pam Herries Consulting and the Great Workplaces Company) and Tynah Matembe (founder MoneyMatiX) answered questions from Nicola Smith as well as those posted online by readers.
Viewed more than 5,000 times, the video saw the experts explore their business journeys, talk about lessons learned along the way, the support they were able to access, and what advice they would give other women thinking of becoming their own boss.
The panel agreed the best way to start a business is to have a real passion for your project.
Tynah smiled: "If you feel deeply enough about it and it keeps you awake at night, go and do it. You'll find a way to get it done.
"Don't wait for perfection. Go out and get people who are paying you as soon as you can and refine things along the way."
Pam nodded: "You need to create that mindset of self-belief. That's a really important starting point.
"Start small, speak to some people you trust, either in your friendship group or some of your networks, and just ask for feedback.
"There's nothing better than hearing people say they'd like to help you and for you to be able to say, 'This is how you can help'."
