A woman has shared a clever tip to keep your home cosy and avoid cranking the heating up for long periods of time - and it's completely free.
Melissa, who runs blog The Daily DIY, often posts advice on maintenance, repairs and renovation in order to help people save time and money as things continue to be tough. Raking in millions of views of TikTok, @the_daily_diy, she said: "Maintaining, repairing, and renovating your home can be overwhelming. Especially if you are on a tight budget, or are a new homeowner."
Melissa, who has a "do it yourself attitude", explained that you may be able to feel a huge difference in the heat in your home by utilising blinds, curtains and shutters.
While many opt to shut curtains and blinds at night, the TikToker says that using them during the day may be the best way to keep your homes warmer this winter, as writes The Mirror.
