Cheer is back!
The hit show’s second season returned in January on Netflix, the streamer revealed on Tuesday (December 28), once again following the cheerleading team from Navarro College and coach Monica Aldama.

After the show became a hit in 2020, the stars went on to enjoy great success, appearing on talk shows, getting endorsements and becoming social media celebs. The second season dealt with the aftermath and side effects of fame, as well as fan favorite cheerleader Jerry Harris shockingly getting arrested for multiple federal sexual misconduct charges, including soliciting child pornography.
But will there be a Season 3 of Cheer?
So far, there has been no official announcement. However, Season 2 of Cheer came as a surprise, so it’s possible Season 3 will also arrive as a surprise.
This year’s championships are still on track for April, which means Navarro and their rival Trinity Valley Community College should be preparing for the competition by now. It’s possible that cameras are following through to the Daytona championship once again.
There are certain cast members who revealed their fate with Navarro and Trinity Valley at the end of Season 2, including Maddy and Gillian confirming their return, while Cassadee said she was moving on. TVCC’s Jada said she’d be moving on too, while teammate DeVonte (Dee) was ready to return.
Morgan recently revealed she wouldn’t return, but in an interview with Marie Claire, Gabi said she would likely be back.
