There are two big tragedies that happen in Hallmark Channel‘s new series Ride.
It’s explained very quickly that Isabel’s husband passed away a few years ago.
However, another tragedy occurs that sets what happens with the McMurray family in motion and that’s the unexpected, and tragic, loss of the eldest McMurray son, Austin.
But, who plays the character?

Marcus Rosner appears as Austin McMurray in the premiere episode.
Austin is described as a “illustrious champion” in the rodeo. However, after just seconds of riding a bull in a showcase, he perishes, which leaves behind his wife, Missy (Tiera Skovbye).
Marcus might look very familiar to you if you’re an avid Hallmark fans.
He’s appeared in over 10 projects on the network, including Garage Sale Mysteries, When Calls The Heart, Autumn in the Vineyard, Summer in the Vineyard, Valentine’s in the Vineyard, Fixer Upper Mysteries, The Birthday Wish, Christmas in Evergreen, A Harvest Wedding, Love on Harbor Island, Yes, I Do, Romance to the Rescue, and most recently, The Love Club: Nicole’s Pen Pal.
Marcus has also appeared on The CW’s Arrow, UnReal, Once Upon a Time, and even on Netflix’s Sex/Life.
The actor owns his own production company, and will be starring in an upcoming movie with another Hallmark actress soon – Rhiannon Fish!

Paramount+ and Formula 1 racing are revving up a first-of-its-kind promotional partnership heading into the 2023-2024 season. The deal, announced Wednesday, will include Paramount-centered Fan Zones featuring the studio’s hit series, blockbuster movies and beloved characters at official F1 events, trackside signage, digital sponsorships and more.
Paramount+ has become an official partner of Formula 1, as it pushes deeper into sports content.

The full-season partnership comes on the heels of a short-term deal between Paramount+ and Formula 1 in 2022, which saw the streamer gain exposure at key Formula 1 races including Silverstone in the U.K. and Monza in Italy. Under the sponsorship pact, Paramount+’s original series, movies and characters will take “center stage” inside Formula 1 Fan Zone areas “with the biggest stars coming together on and off the grid,” the companies said. Additionally, the partnership includes Paramount+ branding on track and physical trackside signage, digital sponsorships and promotional opportunities, which started in Melbourne, and will be followed by activity in Miami, Montréal, Austria, Silverstone, Monza, Suzuka, Austin, Mexico City, São Paulo and Las Vegas.
