It comes as series three examined various cold cases including mysterious deaths, the importance forensic play in solving cases and whether scientific advancements could be the key to solving decades-old cold cases.
One episode saw David Wilson joined in the studio by resident Forensic Scientist Helen Meadows who dissects the murder of Tracey Wylde.
Tracey was a young mum from Glasgow, who also took up sex work during an epidemic of drug crimes and deaths. The mother was murdered in her flat in 1997.
Tracey’s case, like many sex workers before her, went cold but Helen analysed the crucial DNA evidence left behind that eventually led to her killer’s arrest, over 20 years after her death.
It is not yet known when series four will be broadcast.
