Almost three decades after the release of the original Jurassic Park, the sixth instalment is hitting cinemas. Ahead of its June 10 release date, Universal has dropped the trailer for Jurassic World: Dominion.
Set around four years after Fallen Kingdom, Dominion is the “epic conclusion” to the epic Jurassic Park franchise, and the third in the Jurassic World trilogy. Fans have been waiting a long time for this: the original release date was meant to be in June 2021.
This second trailer gives a little more than the teaser did back in February, giving us a glimpse of our OG heroes back in action, including the loveable, snarky Jeff Goldblum as talented mathematician Dr Ian Malcolm. With a $165 million budget, this is set to be a huge summer blockbuster that wraps up the long saga – but what has the trailer showed us so far?

As mentioned, Dominion is set around four years after Fallen Kingdom, which ended on a cliffhanger as dinosaurs escaped into our world. Now in the present day, humans are failing to peacefully coexist with dinosaurs, a clash that is entirely unsurprising.
The trailer catches up with wannabe dinosaur tamer Owen Grady, played by Chris Pratt (Parks & Recreation and Guardians of the Galaxy), in the forest where he lives. The peace is soon disturbed when he learns that Blue the raptor has had a baby.
The baby raptor is snapped up by some shady poachers, sending Grady off on a rescue mission. At the same time, we see that everything is kind of crumbling.
