The 2016 release of Hamilton Leithauser and Rostam Batmanglij’s collaborative album, I Had a Dream That You Were Mine, yielded the indie-rock hit “A 1000 Times” and scored an iPhone synch for “In a Black Out.” But after, Leithauser — who released his debut solo album in 2014 after nearly 14 years as lead singer of The Walkmen — struggled to record and release new work. The music came easily, but the lyrics... not at all.

 Cameron Diaz  is three months into motherhood, but she’s already in love with her new life alongside husband and Good Charlotte frontman,  Benji Madden . The happy couple announced their welcome to parenthood in January 2020, and the actress says she can already see what an “incredible” father Benji is to their daughter, Raddix. Bing & Ruth, the project led of New York composer David Moore, has announced a new album. Species is out July 17 via 4AD. Moore’s also shared a new video for the new song “I Had No Dream.” Watch it below.

Pure X—the trio of Nate Grace, Jesse Jenkins V, and Austin Youngblood—has announced their first new album in six years. The band’s self-titled fourth album arrives May 1 via Fire Talk, with a physical release to follow on July 3. The Strokes‘ comeback album, The New Abnormal, features cover art that might be familiar to Jean-Michel Basquiat fans. It contains a portion of the late artist’s 1981 painting, Birds on Money.

The Strokes are back with The New Abnormal. The New York City rock band’s sixth studio album is produced by Rick Rubin and marks the group’s first full-length release in seven years.

Back in 2011, Baths released Pop Music / False B-Sides, a collection of tracks that did not make the cut for his 2010 debut Cerulean. Now, he’s back with a sequel: Pop Music / False B-Sides II features songs that were considered for 2013’s Obsidian and 2017’s Romaplasm.
