Fresh off a show in support of democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, Bon Iver will try to get their fans out to the polls in crucial swing state Wisconsin with a trio of get out the vote shows. As part of the 46 for 46 campaign that is leveraging the power of music to help elect a democratic president, the band will play shows in October in La Crosse, Wausau and Appleton, Wisconsin, in the lead-up to the Nov.

Portugal. The Man are the latest band to feel the Bern. The group announced over the weekend that they will join democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders at a huge rally in Tacoma, Washington, at the Tacoma Dome on on Monday night (Feb. 17). The event will also feature an appearance from actor/activist Tim Robbins and Rep. Pramila Jayapal.

Bon Iver have announced three October shows in their home state of Wisconsin to encourage fans to vote in the 2020 presidential election. According to a press release, fans must pledge to vote in order to get access to pre-sale tickets to the concerts. (Pre-sale tickets go live this Wednesday, February 19, at 10 a.m. Central.) American rock band The Strokes is making its voice heard.

It’s every rebellious rocker’s dream optic: getting to sing a song complaining about police literally in the face of police taking the stage. That was the scenario as New Hampshire officers took to the Strokes’ stage when fans swarmed the band as they wrapped up an appearance at a Bernie Sanders rally by performing “New York City Cops.”

They did not exercise their right to remain silent.

Despite wearing the loudest outfit in an arena crammed with 7,500 Bernie Sanders fans, Julian Casablancas didn’t have much to say about the Democratic Senator from Vermont. The Strokes were the headline entertainment at Sanders’ latest presidential campaign rally on Monday night at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, and Casablancas took to the stage dressed like a lounge lizard who’d just teleported from a Comic-Con in Atlantic City.

The Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville, N.C. has set out to make $100 million in renovations to the 80-year-old facility that has hosted some of the nation’s biggest touring names including Bob Dylan, David Byrne and Dave Chappelle.
