More than 50 Ukrainian orphans have arrived in the UK ahead of their flight to Scotland after a special rescue mission by Hibs charity Dnipro Kids.
The children, aged between one and 18, touched down in London shortly before 8pm tonight following their flight from Warsaw in Poland.
It comes after a paperwork error delayed their initial flight and they will now travel to Edinburgh Airport later tonight.
The legal hurdle was overcome on Tuesday night meaning a Virgin Atlantic plane was able to leave Heathrow Airport this afternoon to go collect them.
Leader of the SNP in the House of Commons, Ian Blackford, announced that the flight had safely taken off from Warsaw earlier this evening.
In a Tweet, Mr Blackford said: "The flight from Warsaw to London, before onward transfer to Scotland, with the 52 orphans from Dnipro is in the air. Well done to @DniproKids and all those who have made this happen."
Meanwhile, Dnipro kids shared an emoji of an airplane as the youngsters set off or Heathrow.
Big Jet TV filmed the live moment the plane touched down at Heathrow Airport and posted the footage on YouTube.
During Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday afternoon Mr Blackford said: “In a matter of seconds at 12.16pm, a Virgin Atlantic aircraft is due to depart Heathrow Airport to go to Warsaw to pick up 50 young orphans that have left Ukraine.
“They are coming to spend the next period of their life in Scotland with the sanctuary that we can offer them.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has helped to make sure that we can offer a new start to these young people away from the war.
