Two men have been charged with attempted murder following an early morning incident just two days before Christmas.
We previously told how police launched a probe after a 29-year-old was found injured on Duncairn Avenue in Bonnybridge early on Sunday, December 23. Officers from Police Scotland appealed for information following the incident.
They have now confirmed two men, aged 24 and 26, have been arrested and charged with attempted murder. They are both due to appear before Falkirk Sheriff Court on Friday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 29-year-old man in Duncairn Avenue, Bonnybridge.
"The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 23, 2023. The men, aged 24 and 26, are both due to appear before Falkirk Sheriff Court on Friday, January 5, 2024."
Detective Sergeant Chris Scott added: “We would like to thank members of the public for their assistance with our previous appeal for information.”
