Two Doors Down fans have been left ecstatic after show bosses confirmed that the hit sitcom would be returning to BBC 2 Scotland in November.
Eagle-eyed viewers of the programme - staring Arabella Weir, Alex Norton, Jonathan Watson, Elaine C. Smith and Siobhan Redmond, who will be replacing Doon Mackichan as a new regular - have spotted the episodes on their televisions. But they're not available to watch just yet.
Doon, who played Cathy, announced earlier this year that she was leaving the show to focus on other things.
Written by Simon Carlyle and Gregor Sharp, episode 1 of series 6 will be called 'Macaroni' and will see Colin, played by Jonathan Watson, in a vulnerable state after being unceremoniously dumped.
Beth and Eric, played by Arabella Weir and Alex Norton are seen to be doing their very best to help, but conversation is strained when Christine, played by Elaine C. Smith steams in demanding the glory details.
It's understood that Siobhan Redmond will become a feature of the sitcom as Colin's new lover from episode 3.
Taking to social media, one fans said: "Aw I am so buzzing about this, but still gutted that Cathy won't be in it."
Another wrote: "Thankfully something decent to watch on TVs for a few weeks from November."
A third posted: "Still gutted Cathy won't be in it, but buzzing it's back. Excited to see what Colin's news girlfriend is like."
And a fourth tweeted: "Buzzing ma b*** aff. keemon!!!!"
Two Doors Down returns to BBC 2 Scotland on Wednesday November 9 at 10pm.
