Tributes have flooded in for music legend Sinead O'Connor after her family confirmed her death aged 56.
In a statement released on Wednesday night, the singer’s family said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad. Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
Famous faces have rushed to pay tribute to the music legend after the shocking news of her passing was released. Outlander star Caitriona Balfe has issued a heartfelt tribute to Sinead, writing: "I hope you are at peace … and with your baby boy. Thank you for sharing your soul with us and soothing us with your incredible voice beautiful Sinéad."
Comedian Dara Ó Briain: "Sinead O’Connor has died. That’s just very sad news. Poor thing. I hope she realised how much love there was for her."
