The Trafford Centre is known for its colourful Christmas lights displays throughout the vast shopping mall come the winter. And visitors keen to get into the festive spirit will be pleased to hear it's not long to wait to see them light up now.
Shopping centre bosses have now confirmed the date when the lights will all go on this year across the Trafford Centre. Pre-pandemic, there used to be a Christmas Lights switch-on event to herald their arrival, but this won't be returning for 2023.
Instead the Christmas Lights will simply be turned on for the first time from Thursday, November 9. Bosses at the mall have said though there will be a range of new festive attractions to wow shoppers this year.

That includes the return of a traditional Christmas grotto inside the shopping mall. Santa will be arriving back to the Trafford Centre from Friday, November 17.
And this year there will also be an indoor Christmas Market for the first time, centred around the grotto at the far end of Lower Peel Avenue near the Dolphin Fountain. There, you will be able to get festive drinks and treats before and after heading into the traditional grotto.
The Trafford Centre's Christmas events village Tinsel Town is also making a comeback for a third year. It will launch outside the Great Hall from November 17, running right through to January 1.
It will feature 'a huge shimmering ice rink', fairground rides, a Snowstorm 'spectacular ice show' from Gandeys, a magical Christmas Tree bar and other festive fayre. Visitors will be able to book on a 45-minute

A woman has passed away in hospital after she suffered serious head injuries following a fall at a Robbie Williams concert in Sydney last Thursday.
