British ice skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean announced earlier today that they would be retiring from skating next year. The news comes as they commemorate the 40th anniversary of their Olympic gold win.
Today, the legendary skating pair have also confirmed details of a 2025 farewell tour which will skate into Manchester's AO Arena next May. The duo were the Manchester venue's first show back in 1995.
Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance farewell tour will be the pairs last ever live tour and will travel across the UK, finishing at Glasgow's OVO Hydro on May 11. Tickets have gone on sale today to mark 'Bolero Day' as Torvill and Dean affectionately call it and can be purchased via Ticketmaster here.

The pair made British sporting history with their routine to Ravel's Bolero at the 1984 Winter Games in Sarajevo. Today, they returned to relive the memories four decades on of their iconic heart-stopping performance which had a UK television audience of 24 million people on the edge of their seats.
Their routine not only won gold but set a new record for the highest score ever achieved for a single programme. It also launched an astounding run that saw the duo finish no lower than first place in any competition over the next 10 years, ending with a bronze at the 1994 Olympics.
Speaking about the visit and farewell tour, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean said: "Following the kind invitation from the Mayor, we are thrilled to be back in Sarajevo 40 years on from that memorable day. Returning to the city which provided such a life-changing moment for us is incredibly nostalgic and brings back so many wonderful memories.
