The pop legend Justin Timberlake has been announced as one of the artists that will take to the stage at the Co-op Live arena after it opens its doors this April.
Confirmed this morning (February 23), the singer will perform at the landmark venue on Thursday, August 8.
The 23,500-seat arena will be the UK's largest live entertainment venue when it opens its doors in a couple of months time with legendary comedian Peter Kay the first act set to perform at the arena.

Other shows announced for the first few opening weeks at Co-op Live include A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie on May 1, followed by two performances from pop star Olivia Rodrigo and a six-night residency from Take That. In June, Pet Shop Boys, The Smashing Pumpkins, James and Liam Gallagher will also perform.
Justin Timberlake has announced today he will also be performing at the Co-op Live as part of his massive The Forget Tomorrow World Tour. The Manchester show is one of just three UK dates, with the singer also performing in London and Birmingham.
At the show Timberlake will perform fan-favourites hits along with songs from his forthcoming new album 'Everything I Thought It Was' including Selfish and Drown.
The pop star is behind some of the biggest tracks of the last twenty five years, including early hits like 'Cry Me a River' and 'Rock Your Body', to more recent chart toppers 'Mirrors' and 'Can't Stop The Feeling'.

John Squire has explained why The Stone Roses never made a new album during their 2011 reunion tour.It has now been 30 years since the Manchester legends released a record, with their last full-length project ‘Second Coming’ dropping in 1994. Although the band reunited briefly for a 2011 tour, and released two singles in 2016 before their split in 2019, they never made any new albums – and now, guitarist Squire has said why.In an interview with The Guitarist (via Music News), Squire said that “no one wanted to do it – so it turned out to not be that frustrating at all.”Squire went on to say that had the group recorded a third album, his guitar playing would be “more measured and respectful”.
