With searches for 'family breaks in the UK' continuing to increase, new research has revealed the top 10 locations for family staycations in the UK.
And one Scottish city has been named in the top 10 places to go.
Comparethemarket.com has revealed the first edition of its Family Staycations Index, which highlights the best locations for family breaks by looking at a variety of factors including types of accommodation, food, entertainment, healthcare facilities, green space, and beaches, along with the cost of an average meal.
Stirling, the only top 10 destination in Scotland, boasts Stirling Castle, with its vaults and exhibitions. It scores particularly high in their ranking for food and places to stay.
A meal in Stirling could cost you £35 for a three-courses for two in a mid-range restaurant.
