Viewers of This Morning have hit out at the show for sending a reporter to the Jay Slater search in Tenerife just days after hosts warned against flying out to the island.
Isla Traquair joined hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on the sofa and spoke out against TikTokers investigating the case before joining the search herself days later.
In a segment on Jay, Isla retraced the teenager’s steps from the club he was last seen at to the bus stop where he asked a passer-by what time the next bus was. She ended up in the mountains where search teams were scouring for any trace of the 19- year-old, revealing helicopters were flying overhead.

Isla explained she's well equipped for the rugged climate because she's Scottish and knows how to deal with the terrain but others might not be as lucky, the Mirror reports.
The segment has come under fire from fans of the show who turned to X, formerly Twitter, to share their outrage.
One wrote: "Isla now doing exactly what she scolded everyone else for? But she's worse and taken it 5000 steps further." As another said: "Isla 'Sherlock Holmes' is on the case now!"
More viewers chimed in to say: "Oh she's not messing is she, after yesterday's segment, 'You know, I think it'd be a brilliant idea if I go to Tenerife'." Someone else agreed: "Managed to wangle herself a trip to Tenerife!"
