The Met Office has announced that fortunate stargazers could catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights this weekend.
Otherwise known as the Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights are expected to show up mainly in northern parts of the UK, however, the Met Office highlighted that it could also reach parts of England, including Greater Manchester. The highest chance of seeing the phenomenon will take place on Saturday night.
It comes just days after the Northern Lights were spotted across parts of the UK last weekend, being seen as far as parts of central of England.

Writing on X, formerly Twitter, the Met Office said: "We're expecting a coronal mass ejection to arrive at Earth later on Saturday or early on Sunday, bringing Moderate to Strong geomagnetic storms. Depending on cloud cover, there's a good chance of visible auroras in northern areas of the UK later on Saturday night."
