The UK’s favourite scenic destinations have been revealed as part of a new Which? survey, including multiple picturesque spots in Scotland.

A total of 10 picturesque areas are in the running to be designated as Scotland's next National Park.
Nominations for the title are now open, and stunning locations from across the country have been put forward, from the Scottish Borders to the Isle of Skye.
As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, 10 regions have already submitted an expression of interest to the Scottish Government. The successful applicant will become the country's third National Park, following the Cairngorms and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.
Communities and organisations have been told to submit their proposals before February 29, 2024. Those applying must demonstrate "outstanding national importance due to natural or culture heritage, a distinctive character and coherent identity, how National Park status would meet the specific needs of the area, and evidence of local support for the proposal".
A spokesperson from the Galloway National Park Association, one of the areas in the running, said they had registered interest "within minutes" of applications opening. Another region known to be interested in obtaining National Park status is the Scottish Borders.
Professor Jane Bower, who chairs the Scottish Borders campaign, said the designation could bring together initiatives across the area, commenting: "One of the things that struck us from the start is that there are so many good, relatively small projects going on over the Borders.
"The trouble is, they are run by volunteers and over time — when the founders leave or die or whatever — a lot of good stuff goes to waste because there is no proper way of keeping track of it.
