It was the setting for one of the most dramatic scenes in Outlander, but one little known Edinburgh filming location is considered to be something of a secret spot.
One that tends not to make the more glamorous lists of Outlander filming sites in Scotland, it's a bit of a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by the show's fans visiting the capital.
Found in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, Bakehouse Close is a true throwback to the city of the past and was, therefore, the ideal location to be the filming site of one of the most popular episodes.
The historic close doubles as Carfax Close, where Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) works at Alexander Malcolm’s print shop.
It's the location of the reunion, where Claire (Caitriona Balfe) finally finds him after they've spent 20 years apart following Claire's return to the future.
A truly pivotal scene it's one of the most important not only in the lives of Jamie and Claire but also the show itself, capturing the humour, warmth and of course, deep abiding love between the two.
Situated just off the Royal Mile, Bakehouse Close is considered to be a glowing example of how Edinburgh would have looked over 400 years ago.
Parts of the close date back to the 16th century, and was originally known to be one of the seedier lanes in the city with the resident Cock and Trumpet Tavern considered to be a legendary haunt back in the day.
The stairs and doorway used in A. Malcolm can be seen, though they aren't covered by a wooden shelter like they were during filming, the door used as the print shop door can also be seen.
Bakehouse Close can be found just off the Canongate.
It's located next to The Museum of Edinburgh and across the street from New Calton Burial Ground.

Chris Willman Music WriterWhen contemporary Nashville artists and songwriters talk about perfect modern country songs, many of them wind up circling around one in particular: the Miranda Lambert-sung “The House That Built Me.” The co-writer of that and other classics over the last few decades, Tom Douglas, is the narrator and subject of a film, “Love, Tom,” just announced as coming out exclusively via the Paramount Plus streaming service on Feb. 24.A trailer for the project has the world-class songwriter appearing in a variety of Nashville locales, including the Ryman Auditorium, the Shelby Street Bridge downtown, a truck and a front porch, as he offers narration derived from a well-remembered, inspirational acceptance speech he gave upon being inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014.
