Manchester United have been warned against signing 'so-called superstar' Harry Kane in the summer.
Mauricio Pochettino is one of the two managers which the Manchester Evening News understands are interested in taking over at Old Trafford.
Pundits have suggested that if Pochettino was appointed, he would try and bring his old striker Kane with him.
United have previously been linked with the England captain in the past and Ralf Rangnick has expressed his intentions in trying to bring a striker to the club at the end of the season.
Supporters also seem on board with the idea of Kane coming to Old Trafford following his sensational display at Man City on Saturday evening, in which he scored twice and ran the show in a shock 3-2 win for Spurs.
However, former United defender Paul Parker believes that United should avoid the temptation of signing the 28-year-old.
He told MyBettingSites: "The way Harry Kane has been playing, or how he wants to play for club and country, doesn't suit Manchester United.
"They want a centre-forward who wants to be a centre-forward, not a centre-forward who wants to drop in midfield and talk about how many assists he makes or propping up great passes.
"That's the problem, so why go and pay over £100 million (what City reportedly were going to pay for Kane).
"Then you've got his big wages and look at how old he is.
Tell us who you think United’s captain should be below or here.
"Are Man Utd going from the fryer to the frying pan if they go and bring Harry Kane, another so-called superstar signing, another PR machine.
"I think a lot of Man Utd fans would want someone there who's hungry, someone who's showing something and they can make him even better."
