“ Monster,” a courtroom drama starring Kelvin Harrison Jr., Jeffrey Wright, Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Ehle that's premiering Friday on Netflix isn’t actually new at all.Yes, it’s adapted from an acclaimed book by the trailblazing author Walter Dean Myers about a Black teen who is in prison for the possible murder of a Harlem drugstore owner. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January of 2018 and has been sitting on various shelves since.

Luke Evans has been tapped to star in Apple’s Echo 3 action-thriller drama series, from Oscar winner Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker), Apple Studios and Keshet Studios. Echo 3 is set in South America and follows Amber Chesborough, a brilliant young scientist, who is the emotional center of a small American family.

On what would have been legendary fashion designer Halston’s (born Roy Halston Frowick) 89th birthday, Netflix today announced a May 14 global premiere date for Ryan Murphy’s limited series Halston, starring Ewan McGregor in the title role. The streamer also released the key art (below) and a set of Warhol-inspired polaroids featuring the cast, Halston’s entourage.
