The announcement was made ahead of Amazon’s NewFront presentation in New York on May 1. The first season of “Bosch: Legacy” debuted on Freevee in May 2022, with Season 2 set to air this fall. Like its predecessor, the Prime Video series “Bosch,” the Freevee series is based on the Bosch novels written by Michael Connelly. “The story of Harry Bosch has evolved over the years, and his journey is far from over,” said LaurenAnderson, head of AVOD Originals, unscripted, and targeted programming at Amazon Studios. “Thisrenewal of ‘Bosch: Legacy’ is a testament to the enduring power of the world Michael Connelly built. Speaking at this year’s Los Angeles Times Festival of Books on Saturday, the 75-year-old author sat down with fellow crime author Michael Connelly, where he shared his unfiltered thoughts on “L.A. Confidential,” the LAPD and his personal reading taste.  Ellroy, who has voiced issues with director Curtis Hanson’s adaptation before, gave a further explanation of his distaste. “People love the movie ‘L.A. Confidential,’” Ellroy said. “I think it’s turkey of the highest form. I think Russell Crowe and Kim Basinger are impotent. The director died, so now I can disparage the movie.”

Legendary Mexican actress Angélica María has joined the second season of Netflix’s “The Lincoln Lawyer” in a recurring role.She will play Elena, the mother of Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo). In the show, Elena is described as a prominent film and television actress who regards herself as a star who was married to a star attorney in Mickey’s father — a self-centered mother who wants to be the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral.
