A cannabis farm thought to be worth over £1 MILLION was uncovered by police in Oldham on Wednesday morning (October 18) with two suspects in custody.

A man has been arrested after police uncovered a huge cannabis farm inside a former Marks & Spencer in the centre of a Peak District town.
Officers raided the empty unit in Spring Gardens in Buxton on Monday (September 25) after receiving a tip-off from locals. They found almost 1,000 cannabis plants inside, growing over multiple floors in part of the old M&S building.
A 34-year-old man - believed to be an Albanian national - was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and immigration offences, Derbyshire Police said. Officers added that he has been 'handed over to the immigration authorities'.

A referral has been made to the Home Office which will further investigate if he may be the victim of modern-day slavery. An investigation into the cannabis grow is ongoing.
The raid was carried out as part of a crackdown on serious and organised crime in Buxton, known as Project Unity. Sergeant Patrick Haley, of the Buxton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Through information we received from the local community we discovered a large, sophisticated cannabis grow which has now been dismantled and seized.
"We would like to thank the public for their continued support, and we would encourage people to report their concerns and information about drug misuse to us."
He added: "While some people may think that cannabis use causes no real harm to others, the reality is that behind the scenes there can be links to organised criminality, violence and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals. Illegal cannabis grows often also
