Drug dealers acting on the orders of a crime gang were caught with snap bags of cocaine hidden in a sock as cops targeted a city centre 'hotspot'. Haziz Muka, 23, and Elidon Jukaj, 24, were spotted by police in a car in Manchester city centre.
The pair were 'pressured' and 'coerced' into drug dealing after being threatened by a crime gang in their native Albania, Manchester Crown Court heard. Prosecutors said police officers were out in Manchester city centre as part of a 'proactive' operation targeting drug dealing. They spotted the two men in a VW Golf at about 6.40pm on June 16, in an area known to officers as a 'drug dealing hotspot'.
As officers approached, Jukaj was seen to throw something out of the car, parked at the junction of First Street and Medlock Street. Police found a black sock which contained 28 snap bags of cocaine, and rocks of crack cocaine. Jukaj told officers that he'd picked up the package and was going to deliver it to an address in the city centre. Muka refused to answer the police's questions.
